12 While he was in one of the cities, there came a man full of leprosy; and when he saw Jesus, he fell on his face and besought him, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.” 13 And he stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, “I will; be clean.” And immediately the leprosy left him. 14 And he charged him to tell no one; but “go and show yourself to the priest, and make an offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, for a proof to the people.” 15 But so much the more the report went abroad concerning him; and great multitudes gathered to hear and to be healed of their infirmities. 16 But he withdrew to the wilderness and prayed. Luke 5:12-16
Today’s gospel made me asked God to make me clean and pure in His eyes and in everything that i will do. It is my ultimate way of telling Him how i love Him, to stay clean, pure and “holy” for Him. It’s not easy definitely, but His “grace” will allow me to do this.
During the mass, the priest didn’t talk about the call to be clean. He talked about being a witness and how the leper in the gospel did this to proclaim Jesus’s greatness as a healer and restorer of his being.
I am called to become a witness too. I need to testify God’s love and mercy in my life and in my family’s. I must share how God is so generous in everything that i needed and will need. I will share His greatness in all my endeavors both in the most complicated to the simplest.
I will never get tired of witnessing for Him who has been the faithful lover of my soul. He offered His life for me so He can save me, in return i will offer all my days to Him so i can testify His never ending gaze upon me.
I am blessed and loved for you Jesus, for this i will testify. For this i will witness.
